Frieze: Orchestrating Large-Scale Art Fair Operations and VIP Support
At Frieze, I served as Lead Administrative Assistant within the Fair Director’s Office, where I played an essential role in coordinating the fair’s logistics and managing key administrative operations. My responsibilities included overseeing the main phone lines, managing email communications, and supporting VIP programming for multiple editions of the fair on Randall’s Island.
Working closely with the Director’s London-based staff and partnerships team, I assisted in the orchestration of a range of essential processes, from guest check-in and Access coordination to press accreditation and high-profile visitor services. My administrative support was central to the fair’s seamless operations, ensuring that everything from VIP tours to media relations was executed efficiently and thoughtfully. Even in the face of challenges inherent to the fair being hosted on a small island.
Frieze’s dynamic environment required adaptability, precision, and a strong understanding of high-volume event logistics, which I was able to deliver. This experience gave me a comprehensive view of large-scale art fair management, further strengthening my expertise in VIP relations, client engagement, and strategic operational support.
