Cadogan Tate Fine Art: Managing International Logistics and Client Relations for High-Value Art Shipments
At Cadogan Tate Fine Art, I served as an International Account Manager, responsible for overseeing complex logistics and providing end-to-end support for an international clientele. Working during a period of global shipping challenges, I managed all aspects of high-value art logistics, including quoting, coordinating site visits, processing permits, and completing service orders and billing for each client, from initial quote to project completion.
My work involved facilitating art shipments and installations with a meticulous approach, ensuring each piece was handled securely and efficiently. Projects were quoted, collected, custom-packed and/or crated, and transported around the world under my supervision. I collaborated closely with clients, offering responsive, detail-oriented service throughout the shipment process, from initial consultation to on-site coordination for installations and removals.
This role reinforced my expertise in international logistics, account management and billing, registrar processes, and project management, allowing me to deliver reliable, high-quality service in the demanding fine art sector. My clients included each major auction house, galleries at each of the city’s art and design fairs, registrars from every major museum in the city, private foundations and organizations such as the John Giorno Foundation, and a number of major designers , brokers, and designers, and many private collectors with revolving international storage accounts. Notable shipments included shipping containers to Art Basel, Michael Heizer’s Levitated Mass, and one of Napoleon’s bicorne black beaver felt hats.
